Derek Kruse is the Chief Information Officer at the Douglas Omaha Technology Commission (DOTComm) where he has transformed that organization through service leadership over the past four years. He has presented at numerous conferences, has guest lectured at local universities and is pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration at Creighton University where he is focusing on IT leadership. Derek holds a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from Emory University. He is a board member on the Nebraska chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and was awarded the 2016 AIM Tech Leader of the year and was recognized by the Midlands Business Journal as a 40 under 40 recipient in that year as well. Derek loves basketball, golf and travel and lives in Bennington with his wife and two children.
